Bru has a commanding lead after only one month. He has done it by outstanding pitching numbers. I know it's early but that is a 320 point lead very quickly. I hope this doesn't turn into a laugher. Cliff Lee has really helped him. Let's see if he keeps it up.

Rosie had a really bad week. From 6th to 12th. Evil pretty much swapped places with Rosie having a stellar week.

One interesting thing I noticed about the pitching verses batting number is that the pitching numbers are always higher for the teams that are higher up in the standings. They even out about halfway down and reverse order at the bottom. Have to see if this continues and figure out what it means.

Wow, we were all pretty miserable this week besides Bru and Ozzie. Bru just cleaned up. A monster week! And it's seen in his pitching numbers. By far the highest start average.

One week doesn't really give us a good idea yet (that goes for the Royals too). Some extreme numbers. One thing that sticks out is how pitching is producing a lot more points than bats. Now some could be contributed to early season and cold weather when pitching has the advantage. But I don't think that accounts for that much. Rather I feel with the point adjustments we are going to see this all year long. As far as strategy it really doesn't change anything.

With all the 'pre-openings' it is hard to get an accurate week total. I looked through the top guys and I didn't notice any of them taking advantage of the double start for like Matsuzaka or Blanton, etc.

One note, I think this year I am going to try and do this on Tuesday's. It falls on the natural week and since we are starting this time at the beginning and if we carry it all the way through, we will have some accurate data.
